PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high performance of a hybrid type vehicle. SOLUTION: This hybrid type vehicle comprises an engine 8, a differential device 42 receiving a power of the engine, a drive shaft 9 connected to the differential device via a universal joint 90, a motor 21, and a motor output transmission mechanism 22 transmitting the power of the motor to an outer race 92 of the universal joint. An engine output transmission mechanism 120 connecting a rotary shaft 111 of a power generating motor 11 and an output shaft 81 of the engine is installed between them. A battery 3 is charged by powering the power-generating motor from the output shaft, and the power-generating motor is arranged in a manner that the rotary shaft is parallel to the output shaft. Furthermore, the power-generating motor is arranged at the top of a clutch mechanism intermitting drive transmission between the output shaft of the engine and a drive wheel.
