PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately perform color conversion near a color gamut boundary. SOLUTION: The color conversion table stores the first color conversion result for converting an input chrominance signal into a color-reproducible chrominance signal, and the second color converted result for converting the input color signal into a color-unreproducible chrominance signal. Color conversion is accurately performed to accurately keep a corresponding relation with the input chrominance signal, even in a gamut exceeding a color-reproducible range of a printer or a display.
