PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of acquiring/providing internal information stored in a facsimile machine, such as setting information with only the image information signal. SOLUTION: The facsimile machine, wherein a communication means externally transmits image data of an original read by an original read means as the image transmission signal and a print means prints out the image data externally received by the communication means, includes an internal information storage means for storing internal information; an image code generating means 7 for converting the internal information into image code data, corresponding to a general-purpose image code; a reception means for receiving the transmission instruction of the internal information; and a control section 8, that attaches an identification code denoting the general-purpose image code to the tip of the image code data generated by the image code generating means 7, when the reception means receives the transmission instruction and makes a communication means 8 transmit the resulting data as the image transmission signal.
