PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile apparatus enabling the important one-touch and/or abbreviated dial numbers to be hard to delete. SOLUTION: The facsimile apparatus includes display panel 9, input section 7, memory 6, communication section 2, image forming section 4, and control section 8. The memory 6 is a portion capable of storing both ordinary dial numbers of other facsimile devices and the one-touch and/or abbreviated dial numbers shorter than the ordinary numbers, registered correspondingly to the ordinary dial numbers. The control section 8 decides whether the one-touch and/or abbreviated dial numbers stored in the memory 6 are communicable with the other facsimile devices, and stores into the memory 6 the one-touch and/or abbreviated dial numbers being decided not to be communicable, and also displays on the display panel 9 a selection screen for enabling an operator to select the correction, or the deletion from the memory 6, of the one-touch and/or abbreviated dial numbers which are decided not communicable.
