PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external preparation for ameliorating a hyperesthetic itchy feeling on the skin. SOLUTION: The skin care preparation for external use for ameliorating the hyperesthetic itchy feeling on the skin comprises a local anesthetic (lidocaine or the like), urea, a cool-feeling agent (menthol, camphor or the like), alcohols (ethanol, absolute ethanol, isopropanol, propylene glycol, cetostearyl alcohol or the like), and water. The skin care preparation for external use promptly replaces the hyperesthetic itchy feeling on the skin with other sense (a cool feeling or a burning feeling) thereby suppresses the itchy feeling and retains the replacing and suppressing actions.
