PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent for inducing disease resistance of plant and derived from natural materials. SOLUTION: The agent for inducing disease resistance of plant contains one or more disintegrated cells or their water extract of the following fungi and/or plants. Fungi: Clavulinopsis pulchra, Oudemansiella platyphylla, Lycoperdon perlatum, Hypholoma fasciculare, Coriolus versicolor, Lactarius hatsudake, Russula mariae and Suillus tomentosus, and plants: Campanula punctata, Lathyrus japonicus, Centaurea cineraria, Origanum laevigatum, Portulaca grandiflora and Pelargonium graveolens.
