Disclosed is a hydrocracking catalyst which comprises: a carrier comprising an ultra-stable Y-zeolite which is prepared by ultra-stabilizing NaY-zeolite; and a metal which belongs to Group VIII in the periodic table and is supported on the carrier. The NaY-zeolite has peaks within the ranges of 2?=28.0°-28.5° and 2?=15.0°-16.0° in an X-ray diffraction pattern, wherein ratio between the intensity of the peak appearing within the range of 2?=28.0°-28.5° (I<SUB>1</SUB>) and the intensity of the peak appearing within the range of 2?=15.0°-16.0° (I<SUB>2</SUB>) [i.e., I<SUB>1</SUB>/I<SUB>2</SUB> ratio] is 0.05 or less.
