A transparent amorphous polyamide molding compound, and its use to preparing various transparent molded products such as a lens, a spectacle frame, a visor, a light waveguide, a light coupler, a disc, a film, etc. are provided to improve fluidity, chemical resistance and optical properties. A transparent amorphous polyamide molding compound comprises a polyamide prepared by the polycondensation of an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid and a cyclic aliphatic diamine, their mixture, and an additive and/or a colorant, wherein the aliphatic dicarboxylic acid is selected from a dicarboxylic acid having 17-21 carbon atoms, the diamine is bis(3-methyl-4-aminocyclohexyl)methane(MACM), and a crosslinking agent and a photochromic agent are excluded in case of an additive and in case of a colorant, respectively.
