<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method by which a high-definition multilayer configuration recording medium can be easily manufactured and to provide a recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: An optical recording medium comprises at least: a substrate on which a first concavoconvex pattern used as a first recording surface is formed; a first recording film formed on the above first concavoconvex pattern; an intermediate layer which is formed on the above first recording film and in which a concavoconvex pattern to be used as a second recording surface is formed on the surface at opposite side to the first recording surface; and a second recording film which is formed on the above second concavoconvex pattern. On the above first recording surface, the substrate has a depression in a part of the area between a clamp area and a data area, and on the above first recording surface, the substrate has a depression at a part of the area at outer periphery side of the data area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
