PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication system and a wireless communication method using a carrier sense multiple access system with a collision avoidance function for suppressing increase in collision probability of an electric wave, when a plurality of wireless networks exist in the same channel. SOLUTION: A first network to which a first wireless communication system belongs and a second network to which a second wireless communication system belongs use the same channel. The first wireless communication system detects a transmission signal which the second wireless communication system transmits, and determines a time interval up to the next transmission of a frame, on the basis of the detected transmission signal.
