PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency with direct switching of an AC current, while eliminating a bridge rectifier in an electronic transformer. SOLUTION: Each pulse of an AC phase discrimination circuit, which outputs a pulse, while discriminating positive or negative of an AC sine wave, and a dual oscillation control circuit which outputs a pulse for alternately turning on or off two switching circuits, is combined so as to turn on or off four MOSFETs. Accordingly, the current flowing from an AC power supply into a primary winding of the transformer can be controlled so as to supply power to the load from a secondary windings of the transformer.
