PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulator for a motor which enables to orderly compactly wind a coil wire and to easily perform wire winding operation, and to provide an armature equipped with the insulator for a motor and a motor. SOLUTION: This relates to the insulator 4 for a motor to be attached on a teeth portion 31A. The insulator 4 for a motor is provided with a plurality of coil wire engaging portions 47 juxtaposed with a predetermined interval in a direction substantially orthogonal to a direction of winding a coil wire U to regulate the winding position of a first layer of the coil wire U. The predetermined interval has a first interval between a first coil wire engaging portion 47a for engaging the final coil wire of the first layer and a second coil wire engaging portion 47b for engaging a coil wire before one winding of the final coil wire, and a second interval between the other coil wire engaging portions 47, 47 adjacent each other.
