PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor wherein demagnetization in a permanent magnet provided in a rotor is prevented, and to expand a rate at which characteristics are variable. SOLUTION: A first rotor 2 and a second rotor 3 are concentrically provided around a rotating shaft 7. Multiple permanent magnets are arranged on the first rotor 2 in the circumferential direction. The second rotor 3 is so provided that it is moved along the axial line of the rotating shaft 7. A moving means 12 is provided for moving the second rotor 3 along the axial line of the rotating shaft 7. The second rotor 3 is provided with a magnetic flux short-circuiting plate 8. When the second rotor is moved to one side of the rotating shaft 7 in the axial direction, the short-circuiting plate is abutted against the permanent magnets 4 of the first rotor 2 to short-circuit magnetic flux. When the second rotor is moved to the other side of the rotating shaft 7 in the axial direction, the short-circuiting plate is moved away from the permanent magnets 4 of the first rotor 2.
