PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant deterioration detector capable of enhancing the flexibility of arrangement in an inside of a bearing or the like, and capable of stably and accurately detecting the deterioration condition of a lubricant, without being affected by a thickness of the lubricant, temperature change, noise or the like, and to provide a bearing with a sensor provided with the lubricant deterioration detector. SOLUTION: This lubricant deterioration detector 1 is provided with a light source 2, a line sensor 3 for detecting light, light guides 4 extended from the line sensor 3 and having a tip that faces the light source 2, and a determination means 5 for detecting deterioration of the lubricant 6, based on an output from the line sensor 3. The tips of the light guides 4 are formed with step differences. The determination means 5 has an abnormal signal excluding part 10 for handling the light intensity signal coming out from a set range, based on the distribution of the light intensity signals of respective sensor elements 3a, from among the light intensity signals output from the line sensor 3, as an abnormal signal, and for extracting the light intensity signals excluding the abnormal signal to be used for detecting the deterioration conditions of the lubricant 6.
