PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent noise and vibration of gears due to backlash without the occurrence of a machine loss. SOLUTION: A driving gear G is idly disposed on an input shaft 24, and a driven gear G' is idly disposed on an output shaft 26. In other words, driving gears G and driven gears G' constituting a shift stage during gear shift are in an idle state with respect to the input shaft 24 and the output shaft 26. As a result, the occurrence of tooth hitting sounds and vibration among gears due to backlash can be prevented without applying frictional force to the idle gears. Further, because the driving gear G is fixed to the input shaft 24 by a clutch mechanism 70 before the driven gear G' is fixed to the output shaft 26 by a synchronizing device S, gear shift shock occurring at the time of gear shifting operation can be reduced.
