PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of manufacturing a stepped tube with a material of maraging steel without resorting to cutting work or a special processing. SOLUTION: A shaped-sheet 11 of a shape in which a chassis to be produced is spread is manufactured by cutting a blank 10 which is obtained by dividing a strip sheet (sheet) of the maraging steel. The shaped sheet is subjected to a U-bending and a cylinder-bending into a stepped shape to manufacture a stepped tubular element and then abutting portions of left and right edges of the stepped tubular element are welded together and heat treatment for solution treatment and aging is finally performed to complete the stepped tube.
