摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a higher speed and finer adjustment in a lens drive device that has a lead screw and a nut. SOLUTION: The lens drive device includes: a lens frame 40 holding a lens G and supported in the optical axis direction L so as to freely reciprocate; a nut 50 held on the lens frame; a lead screw 60 helically engaged with the nut and extending in the optical axis direction; and a first motor 70 that applies rotating force to the lead screw. A second gear 80 that engages with the gear 52 of the nut 50 and a second motor 90 that drives the second gear 80 are provided as a drive mechanism that supports the nut 50 so that the nut 50 may freely rotate relative to the lens frame 40 and that applies rotating force to the nut 50. Accordingly, the rotation of the second motor 90 is controlled as required (normal rotation, reverse rotation, or stop), thereby adjusting the rotation of the nut 50 as required.
