A method and apparatus for automatically identifying colon flexures is disclosed. The method comprises processing centerline image data (52) to determine the curvature of the centerline at a plurality of locations and identifying locations (36, 38, 40) having smaller radius of curvature, which correspond to the colon flexures. The image data is then labeled according to sections of the colon separated by the locations (36, 38, 40). |
