摘要 <p>The invention relates to the food industry, more specifically to methods for heating a food product stored in a container (package) prior to the consumption thereof by means of an exothermic reaction. The inventive method for producing a thermal power for heating the food product in a container consists in initiating, in a reaction chamber brought into a heat contact with a food product containing container, an exothermic reaction by interacting water and a mixture comprising a zinc powder, copper sulphate pentahydrate powder and a magnesium alloy powder consisting of magnesium and aluminium in a quantity of 50,50 and 49.25 mass % respectively, whose quantity K in grams is selected according to the food containing container volume V ranging from 0.1 l to 1.0 l using the following dependence K=4,95+0.5 (V-0.1). The exothermic reaction is carried out at the following ratio of the powder components and water: 1.0 mass % magnesium alloy, 11.0-11.5 mass % copper sulphate pentahydrate, 5.9-6.1 mass% zinc and 4.4-4.5 mass% water.</p>
