<p>A practical and low cost device for tightly lacing together opposite hems of a garment, shoe upper, orthopedic band, curtains and alike articles, comprising a plurality of laces fixed at one end to a first hem and the free end of which has a Velcro hook part, each lace passing through a buttonhole or loop present on the other hem to be then pulled back and fixed on a textile Velcro part present on the outer surface of the article near the hem, comprises: a plurality of aligned openings with a constant separation step, parallel to said other hem, the hem being them folded along a median axis of alignment of the openings and sewn to create a plurality of spaced loops along the hem; the free ends of two or more successive laces of said plurality of laces being parallel joined to a unified Velcro hook part end piece to constitute a succession of pairs, triads or groups of larger number of parallel laces; each lace being received in the separation space between two of said loops of the first hem; an engagement pin threaded through all said loops passing over said laces laid in the separation spaces and made unthreadable therefrom; each unified Velcro hook part of two or more laces of said succession being individually pulled back and anchored on said textile Velcro part present over the ends of said laces fixed to said first hem.</p> |
