A method and a system for providing product information using a wireless tag are provided to enable a user to buy, distribute, and manage the products easily by enabling the user to check the information recorded in the wireless tag attached to the product in real-time without going to a place storing the product. A user interface(101) receives a product information request message including the requested product information from a user terminal. A location information checker(103) checks a location of the user terminal. A data transmitter(102) selects a wireless tag communicator for communicating with the wireless tag to obtain the product information based on the location information of the user terminal and requests the selected wireless tag communicator to obtain the product information stored in the wireless tag if the product information request message is received. A data generator(104) generates data for the user terminal using the received product information if the product information read from the wireless tag is received from the selected wireless tag communicator. The user interface transmits the data generated by the data generator to the user terminal.
