FALL INFERRING DEVICE AND FALL PROTECTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fall inferring device which infers it with few errors in a short time that a man loses balance and comes to fall down and can especially securely detect a fall such as falling down from a side of the hip part to the ground being apt to cause fracture of the neck of femur and which may be configured small and light weight and is an air bag type fall protector using the fall inferring device.

SOLUTION: The device is equipped with an attaching means 2 to attach the device to a body trunk of a man, an angular velocity detecting means 16a to detect an angular velocity of motion of the body trunk around the axis in the front-rear direction of the body trunk, a tilt angle detecting means 16b to detect a tilt angle of the body trunk against the upright position around the axis, and a fall inferring means 16c to infer that a man comes to fall down based on a tilt angle of the body trunk detected by the tilt angle detecting means 16b and to output predetermined signals expressing that a fall is inferred.
