摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing unit manufacturing method capable of protecting a pressing force acting face for a long time and elongating a life of a clamping tool by dispersing a reaction force acting on the pressing force acting force of the clamping tool in a clamp processing to an axial end of an inner ring (for example, a vehicle body side end). <P>SOLUTION: In this clamping step, after an inner ring component 16 is fitted from an axial end side of an inner ring 4 (a vehicle body side end side) under a condition that a plurality of rolling elements are inserted in inner and outer rings, a pressing force acting face 22s of a clamping tool is pressed to an axial end (vehicle side end) 4t of the inner ring to apply a pressing force, and a clamping area 12c of the axial end is plastically deformed and clamped along a peripheral end 16s of the inner ring component, so as to fix the inner component to the inner ring.
