<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for reducing effects of distortion caused by distortion contributors in an image pickup component element used in a tracking system. <P>SOLUTION: The device comprises one or a plurality of embodiments for reducing effects of distortion caused by distortion contributors in a medical image pickup component element 300 used in a medical electromagnetic tracking system 200. An example of the medical image pickup component element 300 is an X-ray image detector or a surgical microscope used for medical technique under a fluoroscopic image guide.
