<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an airbag base fabric that has desired plane smoothness, coating film thickness, adhesiveness between a fabric and a silicone coating, hardly releases a coating material and a sealing material in application of a sealing material, has high strength, slight dislocation of meshes and is suitable in both cases of application and no application of a sealing material. <P>SOLUTION: In the airbag base fabric obtained by coating the surface of a fabric of a thermoplastic synthetic filament yarn with a silicone, the filament yarn has a raw yarn strength of ≥7.5 cN/dtex, a fineness of the filament yarn of 280-325 dtex and a cover factor of the fabric of 1,800-2,200.
