摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a side material used for a clad material which is employed in a heat exchanger and excellent in productivity and corrosion resistance, whose side material member is easy to control its surface condition and flatness, and in which adhesion failure is hard to occur, to provide a method for manufacturing a clad material employed in a heat exchanger, and to provide a clad material employed in a heat exchanger. SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing a side material used for a clad material which is employed in a heat exchanger and in which at least one layer on one side of the core material is a brazing filler material, at least one layer on the other side is a sacrifice material, and the brazing filler material and the sacrifice material are arranged to the outermost surface on respective sides, at least one layer of the side materials is made of a metal having a constituent composition different from that of the core material. The method includes a melting step of melting a metal for side material, a casting step of casting the metal melted in the melting step so as to make an ingot for side material, and a slicing step of slicing the ingot to a predetermined thickness, which steps are performed in this order.
