PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein it is difficult for a user to obtain his/her ideal color printing result, and delicate variation exists in colors at printing result for each group of printing equipments different in a date of manufacturing for parts. SOLUTION: While acquiring colorimetric result of patch printed respectively by a plurality of printing equipments based on a common tone data, representative colorimetric result for representing each colorimetric result is computed based on each of the colorimetric result. According to a value of the representative colorimetric result, a correction rule of tone data is determined for correcting color shift between printing result by the plurality of printing equipments and printing result by a desired reference printing equipment used a color correction reference. Using the determined correction rule, tone data representing an arbitrary image is corrected, and a printing equipment which printed the patch is directed to perform printing based on the tone data after the correction.
