PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability of an operation panel, and usability by automatically tilting the operation panel according to a use state of a cooker, and to improve safety by preventing a jammed finger in touching the operation panel while moving to a tilting position and preventing a finger and other members from being caught by the operation panel in returning to an initial position. SOLUTION: This heating cooker is provided with a door and the operation panel on proper parts of a front face of a heating cooker body, and comprises an electric mechanism for moving the operation panel to the initial position and the upward tilting position where a lower part of the operation panel is moved forward, and a control means for controlling the electric mechanism. The control means controls the operation panel to stop at an incomplete upward tilting position or an incomplete returning position by operating an operating portion of the operation panel during tilting motion of the operation panel from the initial position toward the upward tilting position, or returning motion of the operation panel from the upward tilting position to the initial position.
