PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic seal member for a resin fuel tank enabling reliable secondary seal by an auxiliary seal protrusion even if the inner peripheral face shape of the tubular wall part of the fuel tank to which the elastic seal member is attached is not necessarily a perfect circle, and furthermore, even if the shape varies in the peripheral direction. SOLUTION: In this elastic seal member 30 for the fuel tank providing sealing function by elastic contact of the auxiliary seal protrusion 52 with the inner peripheral surface of the tubular wall part, the auxiliary seal protrusion 52 is shaped in a generally inclined form in the inserting direction to the tubular wall part. Furthermore, the shape of the auxiliary seal protrusion 52 is made to satisfy 20°≤θ<SB>1</SB>≤35°, 50°≤θ<SB>2</SB>≤70°, 0.4≤B/A≤0.55, and the curvature radius R of the arc shape of the front end part is made to satisfy 0.1≤R/C≤0.2.
