PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder capable of improving a quality of image by absorbing the force for pushing out the rear end of a medium to be recorded toward the conveyance direction when the medium concerned escapes from the holding part between a driving roller and the passive roller and then preventing the over-conveying of the medium to be recorded. SOLUTION: A pair of carrying roller couple 54 which has the driving roller 47 and a pinch roller 48 is mounted in the upstream side of an image recording unit 24. The pinch roller 48 is rotatably supported by a pinch roller holder 56 so that the pinch roller may be pressed to the driving roller 47 with a predetermined pressing force. By a holder support member 57 which is mounted in an inner frame 58 forming the case of the recorder as one piece, the pinch roller holder 56 is supported with the possibility of tumbling in the direction for conveying a recording sheet in the state of placing a roller bearing 80 between the holder support member 57 and the pinch roller holder 56.
