<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support cooperative work of a business consignor and a business consignee related to intellectual property-related business. <P>SOLUTION: The intellectual property business support device 100 is connected with a client terminal used by an intellectual property department member or the like of a company 300 and a client terminal used by an agent or the like of a patent office 400 through a communication network, respectively. This device generates, upon receipt of an ordering instruction of intellectual property business item, an item space for managing data for this item. When an access request to the item space is received, the device permits the access on condition that the user of the requester is a person related to this intellectual property business item.
