<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that displaying a remaining capacity level of a rechargeable battery can not be carried out stably when temporal voltage fluctuations occur frequently, since the display of the remaining capacity level is varied along with a momentary voltage fluctuation in a power supply voltage. <P>SOLUTION: A terminal voltage of the rechargeable battery 3 is always monitored by a voltage detecting circuit 7, and a judgement is made as to which voltage rank being segmented by a plurality of reference voltages the detected voltage belongs to, and the remaining capacity level corresponding thereto is displayed. The judgment is made by a voltage judging circuit 10, and when the voltage detected by the voltage detecting circuit 7 gets out of a voltage rank corresponding to the remaining capacity level displayed currently, and is detected as a voltage belonging to a voltage rank upper by two or more steps, a command is issued to a remaining capacity display means 8, thereby driving a remaining capacity motor 9 so as to move a functional pointer 9b to a remaining capacity level display position being upper by one step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
