<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxide-based dielectric ceramic which has a crystal structure excellent in dielectric characteristics and is obtained by a combustion synthesis method, and a method of producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The dielectric ceramic contains at least Sr, Ca, Ti, O and Nd as constituent elements and is obtained by compounding the respective powders of reaction raw materials at least comprising a Ti powder having 0.01 to 2 m<SP>2</SP>/g specific surface area, an ionically bonding material serving as an oxygen supply source and metal oxides and carbonates serving as sources of the constituent elements in a prescribed ratio and carrying out a combustion synthesis method at an adiabatic flame temperature of ≥1,500°C. The first, second and third diffraction peaks, obtained by an X-ray diffraction method, appear in 2θ ranges of 31.9-32.9°, 46.2-47.2° and 57.7-58.7°, respectively, and the fourth and fifth diffraction peaks appear at 2θ ranges of 39.5-40.5° or 68.0-69.0°. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
