<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical receptacle and an optical module which prevent the expansion of a holder when a fiber stub is force-fitted into a holder, and have high mechanical strength and long term reliability. <P>SOLUTION: The optical receptacle includes: a fiber stub having an optical fiber and a ferrule for holding the optical fiber; and a holder having a stub holding part provided with an insertion hole for inserting the fiber stub being abutted to an inner face, wherein the stub holding part has a gap part between the outer peripheral face thereof and the insertion hole. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
