<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical element for a two-way optical communication module which is not deformed when releasing and has an accurate lattice structure and to obtain a two-way optical communication module keeping high transmissivity at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The optical element, used for the two-way optical communication module used for a two-way optical fiber communication of a wavelength multiplex system, has a diffraction grating of a binary structure formed by molding, wherein a releasing taper is formed at the part where the light made incident on the diffraction grating is shielded with the diffraction grating. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
