<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic container having a high air-tightness and reliability. <P>SOLUTION: The container comprises a ceramic base 1, a frame-shaped seal ring 2 bonded to the ceramic base 1, and a cover 3 bonded onto the seal ring 2. The ring 2 has outward extending one end 2a bonded to the cover 1, the bond zone of the cover to the seal ring locates outside the bond zone of the base and the seal ring, the bonded part of the seal ring to the cover has a thickness smaller than the width of the bonded part of the seal ring to the ceramic base.
