<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymeric resin film capable of achieving a high retardation with a particularly small amount of an additive, to provide a polymeric resin film capable of achieving a higher retardation while retaining the same elongation percentage by addition of an additive in a technique for developing retardation by stretching the film, and to provide an optical compensation sheet, a polarizing plate and a liquid crystal display using these films. <P>SOLUTION: The polymeric resin film contains a polymeric compound containing a polymerization unit of formula (1) (wherein R is a substituent). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
