PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transfer device which is excellent in operability in transferring data on a plurality of types of information terminal equipment. SOLUTION: A data transfer device 10 is provided with a plurality of connection cables 50 having different connection terminals corresponding to a plurality of types of information terminal equipment(portable telephone sets) 40 and a control part(notebook personal computer) 20 for, when the type of the information terminal equipment 40 to be connected is designated, controlling the connection cable corresponding to the designated type of information terminal equipment 40 to achieve communication for data transfer with the designated type of communication terminal equipment. Different colors are applied to the plurality of connection cables 50, and when the type of the information terminal equipment 40 to be connected is designated, the color of the connection cable 50 corresponding to the designated type of information terminal equipment 40 is displayed at a display part 210.
