PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for using a my character in a cellular phone mail of extremely high amusement property where a my character image of a user of a personal digital assistant gradually varies so as to express the personality, state of mind, habit and the like of the user. SOLUTION: The my character image and a personality expression language table 20 where a plurality of personality expression languages are classified beforehand are stored in the personal digital assistant 10. When a letter message and the my character image are transmitted by E-mail from the personal digital assistant 10, a language in the personality expression language table 20 is detected based on the language included in the transmitted letter message, the frequency of detection is integrated every classification in the personality expression language table 20, and each part of the my character image is corrected based on the integrated value.
