OMNIAZIMUTH VISUAL SENSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technique for making a single viewing point compatible with uniform resolution in an omniazimuth visual sensor. SOLUTION: The omniazimuth visual sensor is equipped with: a first mirror 11 formed in first curved surface shape having an axis of rotation symmetry; a second mirror 12 formed in second curved surface shape having the same axis of rotation symmetry as the one; a lens 13 arranged so that its optical axis may be aligned with the axis of rotation symmetry; and an imaging device 14 arranged orthogonally to the optical axis. The first mirror 11 and the second mirror 12 are formed to be related to each other so that all the incident light going toward a predetermined viewing point may be reflected on the first mirror 11 and the second mirror 12 in this order and pass through the principal point of the lens 13, and also variation related to the position of a point image-picked up on a plane including the axis of rotation symmetry and the distance of an image point on the imaging device 14 corresponding to the point from the axis of rotation symmetry may correspond to each other by a linear function.
