PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid crystalline polyolefin that is industrially inexpensively produced, is lightweight and has excellent processability, in more detail, a liquid crystalline polyolefin having a specific structure and a polymer composition comprising the liquid crystalline polyolefin. SOLUTION: The liquid crystalline polyolefin comprises random repeating units of x, y and z represented by formula (1) [R<SB>1</SB>, R<SB>1</SB>', R<SB>2</SB>, R<SB>3</SB>, R<SB>3</SB>', R<SB>4</SB>, R<SB>4</SB>', R<SB>5</SB>, R<SB>6</SB>and R<SB>6</SB>' are each independently hydrogen or a 1-9C alkyl group; a degree of cyclization defined by (x+y)/(x+y+x) is≥90% and a trans structure content defined by y/(x+y) is >70%].
