PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To move a sheet end restriction member while retaining the state in which it becomes approximately parallel in any direction of a sheet stacking direction and a sheet conveying direction or becomes approximately perpendicular to the sheet conveying direction. SOLUTION: A plurality of racks 401-404 are mounted to an opposite side to a surface for restricting the sheet on a front side 1 of a side restriction plate in the same direction as a movement direction on the front side 1 of the side restriction plate. Two vertically arranged racks (401, 402) are made to a pair and a pinion gear mechanism (pinion gears 406, 407, shaft 410) engaged with the pair of racks is provided on a fixed part of a sheet storage part. A set is constituted by the pair of upper and lower racks and the pinion gear mechanism engaged with the pair of racks and a plurality of sets are arranged in a right/left direction.
