PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact absorber in which a plurality of big and small dowels for giving a wide range of shock absorbing strengths are united from the front and the rear, the left and the right or above and below in an impact absorber manufactured by folding up a corrugated board and having a level difference shelf part, one face of which an electric home appliance or the like is inserted in. SOLUTION: The impact absorber (200) is manufactured by folding up the corrugated board (100) having a ceiling part (60), a side wall part (40), the stepped shelf part (20) and an inner wall part (10) jointed continuously via a crease in a U-shaped cross section, wherein the U-shaped cross section is composed of the ceiling part (60), the side wall part (40) and the stepped shelf part (20) and the side wall part (40) stands vertically to the stepped shelf part (20) formed in a square tube shape and two or more engagement holes (H) are provided on at least one part selected from the ceiling part (60), the side wall part (40) and the inner wall part (10) and the dowels (P) are engaged in the engagement holes (H).
