PROCESS FOR PREPARING AMLODIPINE BESYLATE

A method for preparing amlodipine besylate is provided to obtain the desired product with high yield at relatively lowered production cost through a simple purification and a selective reaction after performing a Hantzsch reaction of a pyridone derivative with aminocrotonate and 2-chlorobenzaldehyde. A method for preparing amlodipine besylate comprises the steps of: (a) performing a Hantzsch reaction on a pyridone compound represented by the formula(2) with aminocrotonate and 2-chlorobenzaldehyde to synthesize a compound represented by the formula(5); and (b) reacting the compound of the formula(5) with a benzene sulfonic acid with removing a protection group using methyl amine(saturated by 33% ethanol) to synthesize a compound represented by the formula(1).
