Polyester foil comprises a hydrolysis stabilizer such as epoxy enhanced fatty acid alkyl ester, mixture of epoxidized fatty acid alkyl ester, epoxidized fatty acid glyceride or its mixture. Independent claims are included for: (1) a polyester raw material comprises the polyester foil; and (2) a method for the preparation of the polyester foil comprising preparing uni- or multi-layered foil by extrusion or coextrusion process, biaxially stretching the foil and thermally fixing the stretched foil.
