The device (10) has clamping jaws (14, 16), of which one clamping jaw is rotatably arranged around a swiveling axis. An eccentric disc (20) includes a peripheral surface (22), where the eccentric disc is fitted to a support device rotatably around a rotation axis (D). The rotational axis lies perpendicular to the swiveling axis. The peripheral surface works together with the clamping jaws in such a manner that rotation of the eccentric disc induces swiveling of the clamping jaws.
