A method for providing location information service for an emergency call in a WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network) is provided to enable an E-CSCF server to select an emergency call center in a corresponding area matched with location information of a user terminal if the user terminal requests an emergency call in an I-WLAN(Interworking WLAN) or a WLAN, and transmit the requested emergency call to the selected emergency call center. A method for providing location information service for an emergency call in a WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network) comprises the following steps. If a user terminal, where a user plane based location detecting function is not supported, requests an emergency call, a core network receives current location information of the user terminal from a WLAN AN(Access Network) of a mobile communication network(S10-S18). The core network selects an emergency call center matched with the current location information of the user terminal, and makes a call connection the selected emergency call center(S19,S20).
