A mobile terminal and a method for displaying a menu list table therein are provided to give a feeling of visual satisfaction to a user by providing menus in a shape corresponding to a rotary input device. A mobile terminal comprises a rotary input device(120), a display part(140), and a control part(150). The rotary input device(120), such as a jog disk, is provided to select main menus and sub menus. The display part displays a main menu, selected through the rotary input device, and corresponding sub menus. The control part executes a control operation so that a main menu, selected through the rotary input device, and the sub menus of the selected main menu can be displayed as a menu list table having the same shape as the rotary input device. In this case, the main menu is displayed in the center of the menu list table, and the sub menus surrounds the main menu.
