Apparatus for crimping electrical connectors to conductors comprises a reciprocating ram carrying a crimping die for co-operation with a fixed anvil and a mechanism for feeding a strip of connectors arranged in a continuous form to position a connector of the strip on the anvil, the mechanism being arranged initially to advance the strip and subsequently to retract the strip to a position determined by a stop so that the connector is positioned for crimping on the anvil.
