APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING MULTIPLE SCREENS AND METHOD FOR DYNAMIC CONFIGURATION OF THE SAME

An apparatus for providing multiple screens and a dynamic configuration method for the multiple screens are provided to represent plural services, obtained from a cable, a satellite, terrestrial broadcasting, various storage media, and external input, as various types through a physical display screen. An apparatus for providing multiple screens(900) comprises the followings: a digital signal processing module(940) which receives at least one information among video information, audio information, and data information and restores plural services on the basis of the received information; a service processing module(950) which generates an output screen and plural logic screens to display the restored service; and an output module(960) which performs the mapping of the generated logic screens into difference areas on an output screen. Each logic screen has property information indicating an arrangement order between a background still image, a video raster, and graphic rasters within the each logic screen.
